Jan Eike Blohme-Hardegen

Head of Environmental Department, Hamburg Airport
Blohme-Hardegen, born 1980, studied environmental engineering at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, joined the Hamburg Airport in 2009 as a graduate engineer, initially as a research assistant (multifunctional fuel cell, burnFAIR/1154 flights on SAF-Blend HAM-FRA), followed by being responsible for the topics aircraft noise, then water protection. He is now head of the airport's environmental department, which main task is to minimise the environmental impact of operating a commercial airport in all areas. He is also responsible for the airport's research and innovation plans and projects.
