Holger Albers
Head of Innovations Energy- and Infrastructure-Finance,
LBBW
With 25 years of global asset-based finance experience, Holger Albers heads innovation and business development in LBBW’s energy- and infrastructure finance. Having joined LBBW in 2014, Holger’s focus is on originating energy and infrastructure asset-based finance transactions with a focus on Green Hydrogen, CCs and BESS. Holger has advised project-finance transactions in power, renewables, oil & gas, and petrochemicals with a credit volume of over €25bn. Holger has a proven tack-record of cross-border transactions in emerging markets.
Prior to LBBW, Holger led the renewable energy debt finance segment of a Bavarian equity fund, headed the European business development unit of a U.S. PV Manufacturer and was CFO of a geothermal project developer. Holger started his energy finance career with Unicredit in project-finance and carbon trading.
Holger graduated from University of Freiburg (Diploma in Hydrology) and from SUPSI Zurich (MBA).
