MeliCon was founded in 2001 with the focus on the engineering and production of metallic lightweight components.

In the following years, the development of two innovative product lines: MeliFil metal fibre fleece“ and “MeliPlate wire mesh laminate”, opened the way to new important markets.

Basing on the MeliPlate we developed the product line SilentMetal, which was awarded the 1st prize of the Airtec Awards 2006 in Frankfurt as the most innovative product.

After supply the single sound absorbing product with the necessary stiffness, the product line SilentStructure was born – and introduced to the public on the “Path of Innovation” at ILA 2008 in Berlin.
