Coatings for Titanium Electrolyser Components
Our coatings are applied to a number of different titanium PEM electrolyser components to improve efficiency and lifetime. They reduce the voltage degradation rate of the electrolysers to just 3 μV/h over 10,000s hours, which equates to a 60% improvement compared to uncoated components. This significantly reduces the lifetime cost of hydrogen production. A range of components can be coated using our Resillion process including porous transport layers (PTLs), cell separators, macro transport layers and bipolar and unipolar plates. The coating applied protects the parts from corrosion, reducing maintenance, as well as reducing and maintaining low contact resistance to maximise system efficiency.
