‘H Bridge’ is scheduled to be delivered to Nepal under Lightbridge’s hydrogen station brand, which can produce and recharge green hydrogen. On this day, an official from Nepal Concius Energy visited the site and held a business agreement ceremony for ‘Strategic Partnership for Green Hydrogen Research in Nepal.’ Concius Energy is a spin-off company of the Green Hydrogen Research Institute of Kathmandu Institute of Technology, Nepal. It was established by Kathmandu University to provide research-based consulting services, including green hydrogen produced from hydroelectric energy in Nepal. “The ‘H Bridge’, the first prototype, will be sent to Nepal to charge the Nexo vehicle with green hydrogen produced through hydroelectricity. As a follow-up project in Nepal, we will be converting 400 three-wheeled taxis called ‘Tempo’ into electric and hydrogen fuel cell hybrid vehicles.” Lightbridge CEO Kim Jong-hoon said, “We plan to operate the Tempo by replacing the cartridge by applying the hydrogen storage alloy method,” and added, “A local manufacturer will manufacture the Tempo using a combination of batteries and fuel cells to increase the driving range.” The research prototype unveiled at the H2WORLD exhibition is equipped with a 5kW alkaline stack, dryer, buffer tank, and booster compressor. When operated for 24 hours, 2 kg of hydrogen can be produced per day.
