Panel Discussion: Determining Blue Hydrogen's Footprint and Role in Decarbonising the Energy Sector
24 Oct 2024
Carbon Capture, Utilisation, Storage & Blue Hydrogen
Blue hydrogen has the potential to be an effective tool for decarbonisation, however certain conditions must be met in order to minimise its footprint; such as reforming technologies with high CO2 capture rates and low GHG emissions. Blue hydrogen may also need to be supplemented with additional green energy. The panellists will explore these factors, addressing blue hydrogen's footprint and how technological developments are paving the way for blue hydrogen production to be effective and affordable as well as any threats.
