The Energy sector is undergoing fundamental change both in the shift to electrification but also with respect to the growing importance of carbon neutral fuels. From biofuels to synthetic fuels and hydrogen there are many options and the markets for these different fuels are still being developed. Nevertheless, it is clear, that different applications will require different propulsion and fuel solutions – there will not be a one-size fits all. Hydrogen is a particularly promising future fuel for mobility whether it is used in Internal combustion engines or in fuel cells, as it is widely seen as a primary method to store surplus renewable energy. PHINIA is a leader in the development of fuel and propulsion systems for all fuel types and has for the last few years been developing Hydrogen injection systems for various applications. PHINIA has developed deep system knowledge and capabilities which it has applied to multiple hydrogen applications currently operating on the road. The applications cover various sectors, from robust, practical commercial vehicles to dynamic high performance racing engines. With these examples, PHINIA is able to demonstrate excellent propulsion system performance, near zero emissions and all with a carbon free fuel.
